InterContinental Seattle Bellevue in Downtown Bellevue.
The Pacific Northwest’s first InterContinental: 208 rooms inside Avenue Bellevue at Bellevue Way and NE 8th, directly north of Bellevue Square, with LE BAR in the lobby and a Nobu on the way next door.
InterContinental Seattle Bellevue is downtown’s newest luxury hotel and the first InterContinental in the Pacific Northwest. It occupies the south tower of Avenue Bellevue, the two-tower residential-and-retail block at Bellevue Way NE and NE 8th Street, directly north of Bellevue Square (a three-minute walk, by the hotel’s count) and across Bellevue Way from Bellevue Place; the entrance is on Avenue Square NE. IHG bills it as Bellevue’s premier luxury hotel and a refined alternative to downtown Seattle, and the offer is 208 rooms across 11 floors with feng shui-inspired interiors, views of Lake Washington, the Olympic Mountains and the Bellevue skyline, a Les Clefs d’Or concierge desk, LE BAR overlooking Avenue Plaza, and about 12,700 square feet of event space including the Avenue Grand Ballroom, whose terrace looks over Bellevue Square.
DBN has followed this hotel since it was a rendering: the 2018 announcement, the run of missed opening dates from October 2023 through the spring of 2024, and the doors finally opening on July 18, 2024, as InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue. Since then the coverage has been the story of the block around it — ownership of Avenue Bellevue passing to a Silverstein Capital Partners affiliate in September 2024, the Saks Fifth Avenue Club opening in the hotel in September 2025 and closing in February 2026, and the May 2026 announcement that the Avenue’s condo towers would rebrand as Nobu Residences Bellevue with a Nobu restaurant anticipated for 2027. IHG’s own pages now call the hotel InterContinental Seattle Bellevue, and its press page cites a 2026 Best Luxury Hotel in Washington State title from the Luxury Lifestyle Awards. Hotel guests were among the first to ride the Visit Bellevue Ride Bellevue bikes this summer.
Against the Collection hotels it is the quiet, residential choice: newer and more hushed than the Hyatt Regency across Bellevue Way, closer to the W’s luxury tier than the Westin’s, and the only one of the four not attached to a mall by sky bridge — the full comparison is in our guide to downtown Bellevue hotels.

Getting There & When to Go
The Avenue sits at the busiest corner of downtown, and arriving is a valet-only affair.
Getting There & Parking
- Drive: Valet only, for a nightly fee with in-and-out privileges; no self-parking is listed. EV charging is handled through the valet for an additional fee. If you are only coming for LE BAR or Fresco, Bellevue Square’s free garages are directly across NE 8th.
- Light rail: 2 Line to Bellevue Downtown Station, then a roughly 15-minute walk west along NE 8th to Bellevue Way — see our light rail guide
- On foot: The hotel entrance is on Avenue Square NE, the internal street of the Avenue block off Bellevue Way and NE 8th. From Bellevue Square, cross NE 8th at Bellevue Way; from Bellevue Place and the Hyatt, cross Bellevue Way. Old Bellevue and Main Street are a walk south down Bellevue Way.
Best Times to Go
Midweek is business travel and the calmest lobby; weekends bring the Bellevue Square crowd and the wedding and event bookings for the ballroom terrace. December is the peak, with Snowflake Lane running down Bellevue Way at the corner and the view rooms going first. Shoulder seasons and Sunday nights are the easy windows for a deal on the view rooms.
What’s Nearby
Nothing on the DBN roster is inside the Avenue yet, so cross the street to Cactus on the second level of Bellevue Square, across NE 8th, Daniel’s Broiler on the 21st floor of Bellevue Place, across Bellevue Way, or Black Bottle two blocks north on Bellevue Way for the neighborhood gastropub night.
Good to Know
As of August 2026: guests must be 21 to check in. Dogs are welcome (up to two, weight limits apply) for a nightly fee per pet. There is no pool; no spa or club lounge is listed. Complimentary e-bikes are available to guests and the hotel is a Ride Bellevue partner. Much of the Avenue’s ground-floor retail was still to be leased at DBN’s last check in May 2026, so expect the plaza to be quieter than the corner outside it.

What makes InterContinental Seattle Bellevue different from the other downtown hotels?
It is the first InterContinental in the Pacific Northwest and the newest luxury flag downtown, opened in July 2024 inside a residential-and-retail block rather than a shopping-mall complex. The trade-off is that its own dining is a lobby bar and a breakfast restaurant, and there is no pool; the upside is that Bellevue Square and Bellevue Place are a few minutes away on foot and Old Bellevue is a short walk south.
Is it still called InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue?
The hotel opened under that name in July 2024, but as of August 2026 IHG’s own pages call it InterContinental Seattle Bellevue, and the Avenue’s residential towers were announced in May 2026 as rebranding to Nobu Residences Bellevue. Same building, same address, same 208 rooms.
