bellevue-jazz-festivalThis Memorial day weekend marks the start of the Bellevue Jazz Festival.  Beginning Friday, national and local jazz artists will be performing in Downtown Bellevue.  Over 25 performances will take place over the weekend, of which many can be enjoyed for free! Friday, featured at Meydenbauer Center, will be Kurt Elling – a widely known preeminent young male jazz singer and Dianne Reeves – who is known as a premier vocalist and 4-time Grammy Award winner.  Saturday, Danilo Perez – pianist and composer, Patricia Barber – a singular singer & pianist, and Mingus Big Band will be playing at Meydenbauer Center. On Sunday, Mose Allison Trio, and Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra Plus The Festival’s Rising Stars will play at Meydnebauer Center.  To buy tickets to these events visit bellevuejazz.com. The Bellevue Jazz Festival Rising Stars is an education initiative to celebrate and help develop emerging jazz students.  The festival on Sunday will feature 18 high school students playing in the performance.
