Escapology, a franchise known for its immersive, puzzle-based escape room experiences, will open a new location at The Bellevue Collection in late 2026.
The venue will mark Escapology’s second location in Washington state, following an existing Lynnwood venue, and expand the brand’s presence in the greater Seattle market.
Company statement on the Bellevue opening
In a statement, Escapology said Bellevue’s growth as a hub for families, professionals, and visitors made it a fitting site for its next venue.
“We’re excited to bring Escapology to Bellevue and become part of The Bellevue Collection, one of the premier shopping and entertainment destinations in the Pacific Northwest,” the company said. “Bellevue continues to grow as a vibrant community for families, professionals, and visitors, making it an ideal location for our next escape room venue.”
The company described its escape rooms as an opportunity for guests to disconnect from technology and interact directly with one another.
“Escapology offers something increasingly difficult to find today—an experience that brings people together,” the statement continued. “For one hour, guests put their phones away, work together, solve challenges, and create memories they’ll talk about long after the game ends. We’re looking forward to introducing our premium escape room experience to the Bellevue community and welcoming guests from across the region.”
Escapology executive Burton framed the Bellevue location as part of a broader push into the Puget Sound region.
“Bellevue represents an exciting expansion of Escapology’s footprint in Washington,” Burton said. “Building on the success of our Lynnwood venue, we’re proud to continue investing in the greater Seattle market by bringing our premium escape room experience to Bellevue. The region has shown a strong appetite for high-quality, shared entertainment experiences, making Bellevue a natural choice for our next location. As we continue to evaluate opportunities in markets where our guests have embraced the brand, we’re excited to strengthen our presence in Washington while remaining focused on delivering an outstanding experience at our newest venue.”
What guests can expect
Escapology’s format places small groups inside a themed, private room where they have one hour to find hidden clues, decode ciphers, and solve puzzles tied to a specific storyline to complete their mission before time expires.
The Bellevue location will offer seven game themes: 7 Deadly Sins, Who Stole Mona?, A Pirate’s Curse, Scooby-Doo and the Spooky Castle Adventure, Batman: The Dark Knight Challenge, Mansion Murder, and Haunted House.
Beyond walk-in play, the venue is set up to host corporate team-building events, birthday parties, children’s groups, and full venue buyouts.
About Escapology
Escapology was founded in 2014 by brothers Simon Davison and Paul Davison, who opened the first location in Orlando, Florida. The pair built the concept around a leisure-and-entertainment background, aiming to bring a more polished, high-production version of the escape room format—then a rising trend worldwide—to a broader audience.
The company scaled quickly: by 2020, it had grown to 50 locations, and by 2022, it had expanded internationally to the United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, and Mexico.
Escapology now markets itself on the consistency of its room design, cleanliness standards, and game quality, positioning its experience as suited to both escape-room newcomers and repeat players.
