This week in Downtown Bellevue, at the abandoned Bartell Drugs location (next to the old Safeway), a temporary Halloween store has opened. The store’s hours are Monday through Saturday, 10am – 7pm and Sunday, 10am – 6pm.
Both the Bartell Drugs and Safeway locations that are now empty were planned to develop into condominiums, a hotel, luxury shopping retail stores, and more. This projected was put on hold by Kemper Development Co. in July of 2008 and has been looking for temporary leases to fill the vacant space.
