Downtown Bellevue’s John Howie Steak and The Shops at The Bravern will host a fundraiser to benefit Tomoko Bryant, an employee of Chef John Howie fighting breast cancer, from 5:30-7:30pm, on Thursday, July 21.

The event will take place in conjunction with “Sips & Sounds,” an outdoor happy hour featuring live music, at The Bravern.

Tomoko Bryant has formed a team that will walk in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure in September. The community can support her team by making donations and ordering specialty cocktails at “Sips & Sounds.”

Bolder guests can donate $50 and have their heads shaved by Red Door Spa during the event. John Howie, chef and owner of John Howie Steak and Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar, will kick off the event by having his head shaved at 5:30 p.m.

Guests who donate $50 to have their heads shaved will receive $25 gift certificates to both John Howie Steak and Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar, as well as gifts from Trophy Cupcakes, Red Door Spa, Vovito Caffè & Gelato, and Neiman Marcus.
