We have received an overwhelming number of high quality submissions, and want to thank everybody who submitted entries.  Today we’ve narrowed down the entries to just 3.  From the 3 entries below, we’re asking for your help to choose which submission most deserves the $250 gift certificate to The Bellevue Collection.

Without any further ado, here are the top 3 submissions:

I would use the money to spoil my mom for Christmas. As the mother of five children she’s always been a hard worker, and never had enough time for vacation, or money to lavish on herself. She maintains a list of specialty items that she longs for, and whenever she wants to buy something that isn’t a necessity, she only has the financial resources to get the items one at a time. Sometimes it takes a whole year for her to get a new tube of lipstick, a new outfit for work, and a new pair of shoes. I would take her on a shopping excursion to get all the items from her wish list at one time. We would begin with a visit to the Starbucks in the food court, so that she could savor her favorite latte as I escort her around to various stores. Next, we would pick up her favorite lipstick from Nordstrom, gather a bundle of luxurious bath products from Lush, find a cute pair of boots from The Walking Store, select some hair care products from Aveda, and top off a wonderful day with a box of chocolates from Godiva. I know it would be a day that she would treasure forever.

I would add $50.00 to it and ask that it come in 3 $100 gift cards.  My daughter has 3 friends in her circle of friends that are foster children.  Often I bring groups of them to The Bellevue Collection for a ‘girls day out’ but some are left behind while others can purchase.  We would give a card to each of them to spend in any way they choose.  It may be the arcade, may be an eye makeover with a lip gloss purchase, perhaps a ‘dressy dress’ – who knows?  It would be fun to see the treasure each might collect when given a few dollars to spend with no parameters.  They are all 13-14 years old, so very important development years for a young lady.  They are all good students. These groups of girls spend significant time at the Bellevue Collection already, I think it would bring great joy to a few young ladies who, for one day, would have less (hopefully nothing) to worry about.

I would love to give my step-daughter, Jessica and son-in-law, Jason a night out at one of their favorite restaurants, PF Chang’s… and then maybe a little shopping for themselves! The last year has been all about their new twin boys, Brayden and Brycen. Their world revolves around those boys and they don’t get much time to themselves. Jessica spent over two months in the hospital on complete bed rest and then the boys spent more time in the hospital after they were still born prematurely. Jessica spent every day visiting them while Jason went off to work. Jason was then laid off in early summer and is still looking for work. He also has been in and out of the hospital (in Bellevue, of course!) himself… and could really use a great Christmas present. I would love to spend the $250 on a little Bellevue Collection fun for a deserving couple!

Please check back on December 22, 2012 and we’ll announce the winner.
