Seattle and Eastside artists will perform in the 7th annual “Chop Shop” contemporary dance festival at the Theatre at Meydenbauer Center in downtown Bellevue in early 2014.
The festival stars local dancers, including The Stone Dance Collective, Spectrum Dance Theater, Anna Conner + CO, Pocket Inc., and Price Suddarth. Artists from New York, Michigan, Arkansas, and Barcelona, Spain, will also be performing.
“Chop Shop: Bodies of Work 2014” will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16. General admission costs $28. Tickets are on sale now.
A free “Reading Dance” event will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, in the theater, for those interested in learning about the imagery and meaning of contemporary dance forms.
