In November 2013 Kaisho opened at Bellevue Square within the old Boom Noodle location. 5 Months later the restaurant has now closed.
According to a representative at Blue C Sushi, the space will likely become a Blue C Sushi event space. It was also mentioned that there was a chance the the space could take other approaches as well, but those options were not disclosed.
Not surprised. The food was horrible.
This place called itself an izakaya, yet nothing on the menu was reminiscent of a real Japanese izakaya. When browsing the menu online, I saw nothing that made me want to walk through the doors and dine there.
Absolutely this, just… just awful. Plus the space was just too cold and too open- any place going in there either needs to be an art gallery or renovate extensively to make use of the space
Bummer for them. I went there once and only once. I didn’t enjoy it.
Never went. NEXT.
Not surprised at all. I walked in there once and was not greeted or helped after standing around for 5 minutes so we just walked out. I’m glad we did because the menu was way overpriced and uninspired. I thought maybe business would pick up after the Times did a fluff piece on them and they participated in SRW. Hopefully they can sublease it to someone else because I don’t want to see any fake Asian concepts from this group.
