Chef Bradley Dickinson and Mikel Rogers have closed Koral Bar and Grill just over two years after its opening.
This will make way for an 8,000 square foot 13 Coins Restaurant at the Hyatt Regency, according to a The Seattle Times report. The newest 13 Coins plans to be “Hip.” Although the Bellevue location will maintain elements from the other two restaurants including leather seating, high-back chairs, and dark woods — the design of the project will have a contemporary interpretation. According to the report Graham Baba Architects will design this project. This group has completed several restaurants that have gotten local and national attention. Including Walrus and the Carpenter, Skillet Diner, and many more.
Although Koral is closing, Chef Bradley Dickinson and Mikel Rogers will run the operations and food out of the restaurant. The Bellevue location will be open 24 hours just like the Seattle and SeaTac locations. This will be the only sit down restaurant besides Denny’s that is open 24 hours a day in downtown Bellevue.
Based on a tip last week we reached out to 13 Coins to confirm this rumor that they were moving into downtown Bellevue and were not able to confirm or deny it at that time.
