David Lawrence Reopens at The Bravern, Celebrates 25 Years

David Lawrence recently reopened on the second level (ground level) at The Shops at The Bravern between Gucci and Omega. The luxury retail store carries women’s and men’s designer clothing and accessories. The store offers same-day delivery to their Bellevue and Seattle clients.

David Lawrence moved from Bellevue Square into The Shops at The Bravern ten years ago, right after the shopping mall opened. The move came about because the shop owner believed that the adjacencies at The Bravern complemented the store concept, and had the foot traffic from the other upscale shops that were similar to the brands that they carried.

Store owner, David, got his fashion merchandising degree from Brigham Young University and worked his way up from a salesman to a buyer at the men’s specialty store focusing on European tailored clothing and sportswear, Jeffrey Michael. Around the same time that Jeffrey Michael converted their eight stores into a mono brand concept store called Logan Drive in 1993, David decided to use his expertise, retail clients and contacts at whole sale to open his own store, David Lawrence. Logan Drive closed after just six months, while David Lawrence thrived at Bellevue Square. A second location was then opened in downtown Seattle, and in 2004, women’s products were added to the Bellevue Square location. Both Bellevue Square and downtown Seattle closed around the time that David Lawrence opened at The Bravern.

David’s favorite fashion item in store right now is Versace’s black and gold baroque print silk blazer. He loves the iconic, Italian brand.

The retailer is going to be celebrating their 10 year anniversary of being at The Bravern, as well as their 25th year of being open. To recognize both anniversaries, David Lawrence is celebrating with the Bravern Fashion Week, specifically the birthday bash weekend on September 13 and 14. The weekend includes an invitation-only dinner for top clients, runway show with fall designs, carnival-themed after party and more. The runway show and after party are taking place on September 14 from 5:30PM to 8:30PM for $50/per person. Dress is cocktail attire.
