Bellevue LifeSpring, the first service organization that works closely with the community to foster stability and self-sufficiency for Bellevue’s children and their families, recently elected a new president and chair of its board of directors. Tracy Wort has been involved with LifeSpring for more than 10 years through volunteer work.

Wort is the assistant director of community relations for Symetra. She has been involved with LifeSpring through the Bellevue life insurer’s annual employee volunteer and holiday giving programs, as well as through her service on the Bellevue LifeSpring’s board of directors, which she joined in 2015. She has served as co-chair of the organization’s Step Up to the Plate benefit lunch two separate times.

According to executive director, Jennifer Fischer, “Tracy is a passionate community advocate who combines her longtime volunteerism with Bellevue LifeSpring with a breadth of experience working with many local nonprofit organizations. We look forward to working with her on furthering Bellevue LifeSpring’s vision for the children of Bellevue.”

Tracy strives to continue to ensure that Bellevue LifeSpring plays a vital role for families in need in the Bellevue community in a compassionate and transparent way.

Wort has also served as an executive board member for Atlantic Street Center and as an advisory board member for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, with the American Cancer Society.

Bellevue LifeSpring supports underprivileged children and their families through programs that provide clothing, food, education and emergency assistance. To learn more about the organization, please visit their website.
