Bellevue Mayor Lynne Robinson has declared a civil emergency in the city of Bellevue. This is a result of looters in the downtown area damaging property and stealing merchandise.

The city has also requested additional law enforcement support from the country and the state.

According to the City of Bellevue, as part of the emergency declaration, the city is enacting a curfew tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Downtown Bellevue area and east of I-405.

In accordance with the curfew, no one can be in the public right-of-way, or in the public parks, or at any other public place as bounded on the West by 100th Avenue Northeast, on the South by Main Street an Southeast 1st Street, on the East by 120th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 1st Street, and on the North by Northeast 12th Street.

  4. Thanks for the updates throughout yesterday, here and your twitter feed. Please inform if you know of any arrests? Seen very little data on arrests in Bellevue for brazen looting during a pandemic, during a curfew, other than a pic of 4 sitting in handcuffs.

    Good odds for organized looter gangs if that’s all that Bellevue PD put in custody.

  5. The police are saying that these looters were not the protesters and had nothing to do with the protesters. They were organized gang looters who organized through Snapchat.

    The police and city administrators should have known earlier. They were using caravans of cars – violating all kind of traffic laws including too many people in the cars. T

    The looters should have been stopped before they even get to the stores.
