LA Fitness in Downtown Bellevue will be closing as of Monday, November, 30th. According to signage in their old space, they had been talking to the landlord about extending their lease, but were unable to come to an agreement and decided to end their stay at the end of the month.

In terms of membership, it says that their Kelsey Creek Club, less than 3 miles away, will be the new home club for those who were previously members at the Downtown Bellevue location. It just went through a $600,000 remodel in February 2020 and offers additional amenities like a functional training area, racquetball courts, and convenient parking. The Kelsey Creek Club is over 50,600 square feet.

Effective immediately, membership access will be expanded to allow the use of all of their clubs in the state of Washington, excluding Signature clubs.

We reported in October 2020 that new renovation plans have been submitted for the Bellevue Connection Building on 106th Avenue Northeast. The project name is “Unico Bellevue Connection”. There are interior and exterior plans, including changes of use from retail to recreation facility and office use, and associated occupancies, as well as replacement of the exterior facade, awning/canopy replacement, and more.

The property was first developed in 1999 to serve as a movie theater. It was converted into a mixed-use development in 2008. The building was originally referred to as the Bellevue Galleria.
