City of Bellevue

As we have shared before, Bellevue is planning for the next 20 years. The community is invited to learn about the issues and share ideas on housing, sustainability, and mobility.

According to the City of Bellevue, over the next 20 years, the city is planning for an additional 70,000 jobs and at least 35,000 housing units. The Comprehensive Plan is the best tool for addressing growth while maintaining the high quality of life for its community members.

There are several meetings happening over the next few months and the community is invited to explore the bigger issues that Bellevue is facing. They want to hear any ideas that you may have on how the city can grow.

Each interactive workshop will be a focus group on a particular area. Attendees will review data, ask questions, and engage in discussions with a small group.

The schedule for these workshops/meetings are as follows:

  • Wed, August 3 – Place & Spaces: Creating Complete Communities. How can create great places for social and civic connection?
  • Wed, August 24 – Access: Jobs, Services & Amenities. How can we ensure people can get to work, shops, cafes, and other amenities close to home?
  • Thurs, Sept 15 – Housing: Diversity & Choice. How can we provide housing that meets the needs of people at all stages of life and income levels?

Each session will be held at Bellevue City Hal. Workshops begin at 6pm but participants are invited to get there at 5:30 to review data and ask questions to staff. They end at 8pm.

To attend the workshop(s), registration is necessary. Light refreshments will be served.
