Electric Vehicle Subscription Service, Autonomy, Expands Footprint to Bellevue

Electric vehicle subscription service, Autonomy, partnered with AutoNation, to offer their services and EVs at BMW of Bellevue.

Autonomy, the electric vehicle subscription company, recently expanded its geographic footprint to Washington, including Bellevue. Partnering with AutoNation, they are newly located out of BMW in Bellevue.

The company strives to speed up the adoption of electric vehicles. With Washingtonians being early adopters of electric vehicles, Autonomy is expanding its market after originally launching in California in January 2022.

“We launched Autonomy in California in January and quickly amassed a following across the Golden State. Washingtonians are already early adopters of EVs so it made sense for Washington to be one of the first expansion states,” said Scott Painter, Founder and CEO of Autonomy.  “Affordability is what ultimately unlocks mass adoption of EVs and Autonomy is easier and more affordable for consumers to get into an electric car.”

The company provides a cheaper, faster, and easier way for customers to get electric cars without a long-term commitment or debt.

Washington State set a target that all vehicles of model year 2030 or later sold, purchased, or registered in Washington state be electric vehicles. Autonomy helps achieve the all-electric future.

Autonomy currently offers the Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y and will soon add the full Tesla lineup, among other makes and models.

In August 2022, the company ordered 23,000 electric vehicles, including VinFast, to operate its subscription services. According to Scott Painter, co-founder of Autonomy, more electric cars are coming once supply chain issues are worked out. They just placed orders with 17 different manufacturers and will eventually be able to offer electric vehicles from Rivian, GM, Volkswagen, Ford and others.

The cities of Seattle, Tacoma, and Bellevue have more than 2,900 public charging stations, 453 of which are free EV charging stations. The area also features over 400 DC Fast Chargers, 134 of which are Tesla Superchargers.

Autonomy subscribers have the flexibility to subscribe month to month, after a three-month minimum hold period. Customers can subscribe to an electric vehicle entirely in app and customize their monthly payment to meet their budget. Monthly payments cover the costs of ownership, like routine maintenance, roadside assistance, and standard wear and tear on tires.

BMW of Bellevue is located at 11959 Northup Way. The dealership assists in vehicle preparation and delivery services in connection with customer activation, and maintenance.
