Spanish tapas restaurant, Telefèric Barcelona, is getting ready to open its doors at InterContinental Bellevue. This family-owned eatery, spearheaded by the Padrosa family, specializes in an array of Spanish delights, from tapas and paellas to creative cocktails.

Telefèric Barcelona’s menu boasts a selection of tapas, including crab croquetas, empanadas, and Spanish meatballs. Plates like prime Wellington, grilled salmon, and the Catalan Tomahawk are also offered. The greens section features items like artichoke hearts and a burrata bowl, while the paella offerings include Main lobster and vegetarian options. Finish off dinner with desserts like Nutella churros and rice pudding.

This marks Telefèric Barcelona’s debut in Washington, expanding its footprint beyond its five locations in California and two in Spain. Originating in Barcelona in 1992, the restaurant’s mission is to celebrate the diversity and innovation of Spanish cuisine in a lively and casual atmosphere, as stated on their website.

The tapas restaurant is joining a lineup of exciting eateries planned for InterContinental Bellevue, including Fresco with Pacific Northwest cuisine, Ce La Vi Bellevue, a Parisian bistro, and a 3-Michelin star dining experience by Chef Joshua Skenes.

InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue is a groundbreaking development by Fortress Development, heralding the first of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. The property features two towers housing luxury condominiums, a 208-room InterContinental Hotel, upscale retail space, and celebrity chef-led dining.

The culinary scene at InterContinental® Bellevue is set to make waves featuring three celebrity chefs. Chef Joshua Skenes brings his unique approach to fine dining, inspired by Washington’s natural bounty. Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto introduces an Asian fusion experience, while Chef Robbie Felice presents a first-of-its-kind Italian ramen shop, blending Japanese and Italian flavors.

Avenue Bellevue, the luxury condo project under construction, will feature 141 “Estate Homes” in the South Tower and 224 “Residences” in the West Tower. The South Tower will house the Pacific Northwest’s first-ever InterContinental Hotel, offering guests 24-hour in-room dining.

Despite the excitement, the opening date for InterContinental Bellevue remains uncertain, having been pushed back from its original timing. The InterContinental website and Avenue Bellevue’s site both proclaim the arrival of Telefèric Barcelona as “coming soon.”
