InterContinental Bellevue has delayed its opening once again. According to the website, reservations cannot be made until June 15th. This comes two months after we reported in January that the luxury hotel had delayed its opening date to April 15th, 2024. InterContinental first planned to open in October 2023.
We reached out to InterContinental for comment. According to a representative for the company, “We are putting the finishing touches on InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue and working toward a Spring opening. The hotel is available for stay dates as early as June 15, 2024. Sooner availability will open as we get closer to opening.”
Located on the corner of Northeast 8th Street and Bellevue Way, Intercontinental Bellevue at The Avenue will feature 208 rooms. Pricing starts from $449 per night up to $7,200 per night.
The guest rooms and suites are inclusive of expansive windows, a custom headboard, and Italian vegan leather furnishings. The property features Michelin-star dining and an elevated Clefs d’Or concierge program. Amenities include a dedicated butler-serviced floor, 24-hour room service, a custom Rolls-Royce house car, and an ultra-luxury yacht.
When complete, the hotel will have 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, making up a total of 9 rooms. It will also feature a gran 4,250 square-foot ballroom and a 2,400 square-foot junior ballroom.
The upcoming opening will be InterContinental’s first domestic opening since 2017. It is the first of its kind to open in the Pacific Northwest.
Avenue Bellevue itself is a two-tower destination featuring over 365 luxury condominiums. The project, which has cost over $1 billion, features more than 85,000 square feet of luxury retail and dining.
It was most recently announced that Telefèric Barcelona, a Spanish tapas restaurant, will be joining the lineup of restaurants, including Ce La Vi Bellevue and a 3-Michelin starred dining experience by Chef Joshua Skenes.
