A new entertainment venue is opening at The Bellevue Collection’s Lincoln Square South. Located on the third floor, across from Cinemark Reserve. Mirra is a new-to-market social entertainment concept, combining high-tech VR party games, international cuisine, and hand-crafted cocktails for a unique experience. This marks its first U.S. location, with the opening scheduled for August 2024, according to a press release from the company.

Mirra creates, programs, and develops all of its games internally. At launch, it will offer tech-immersed party games where players can engage in activities like dancing, treasure hunting, laser dodging, jackpot hitting, hockey, and bubble matching by throwing balls and hitting targets. These games are designed for various skill levels and are played in 60-minute sessions. Teams of up to eight compete against each other in the arena, with two players from each team taking on specific challenges in each round.

“Our venue takes the party game concept to new heights,” says Sam Wang, mirra Founder. “We’re merging VR technology with a vibrant social scene to create unforgettable events. It’s not just about playing the game, it’s about the shared energy and excitement – a captivating experience for players and observers alike.”

Complementing its high-tech gaming concept, the Mirra space features multisensory, interactive technology, including panoramic 8K LED screens that display various environments, from tropical forests and beaches to nightclubs. The venue also offers a full kitchen and bar, serving handcrafted cocktails and globally-inspired shareable dishes.

“The Bellevue Collection sees this launch as an unprecedented opportunity to host the world’s first social gameplay arena right here in Bellevue,” said Jennifer Leavitt, VP of Marketing for Kemper Development Company. “Mirra has designed a game-changing and genre-defying social entertainment experience that aligns perfectly with The Collection’s aim to bring the best in dining, shopping and entertainment to the region.”

The 10,708-square-foot venue can host up to 482 people, including both players and observers. The arena welcomes all ages until 6 p.m., after which it turns into a 21+ nightlife venue until midnight.

Henry’s Tavern was previously open at this location. It first opened at Lincoln Square South in 2017 and later closed its doors in 2019 following Restaurants Unlimited’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, which resulted in the closure of all its Pacific Northwest locations. Renowned for its extensive selection of 80 beers on tap, including 20 rotating options, and a diverse menu featuring pizzas, salads, burgers, and tacos, Henry’s Tavern had become a popular destination for food and entertainment, complete with TVs and shuffleboard tables.

Also located at Lincoln Square South are three new restaurants that are set to open, as announced by Conscious Hospitality Group. These include a nonalcoholic seltzer bar, a Detroit-style Korean pizzeria, and a salad, sandwich, and juice bar.

Lincoln South Food Hall reopened in June 2023 with five new dining concepts: Drip Tea, Seoul Bowl, West Coast Tacos, Wonderbowl, and Burbs Burgers. The Food Hall operates daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with Dote Coffee Bar opening earlier at 7 a.m.
