New renderings have surfaced for Telefèric Barcelona, a Spanish tapas restaurant set to open at the InterContinental Bellevue. This will be the restaurant’s first location in Washington, joining five existing locations in California and two in Spain. Telefèric Barcelona was originally established in 1992 by the Padrosa family in Barcelona.
The menu at Telefèric Barcelona will include a variety of Spanish dishes such as tapas, including crab croquetas, empanadas, and Spanish meatballs. The restaurant will also serve plates like prime Wellington, grilled salmon, and the Catalan Tomahawk. The greens section features dishes like artichoke hearts and a burrata bowl, while the paella offerings will include options like Maine lobster and vegetarian paella. Desserts will include Nutella churros and rice pudding.
Telefèric Barcelona will join several other upscale establishments at InterContinental Bellevue, including Jo Malone, known for its iconic perfumes, and Fleur Studio, which offers luxury floral arrangements. Other dining options at the hotel include Ce La Vie, an upscale lobby bar and lounge, and Fresco, a restaurant serving contemporary Pacific Northwest cuisine for breakfast.
The Spanish tapas restaurant is slated to open in early 2025.
InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue officially opened on July 18, 2024. This luxury hotel marks the first domestic launch for the InterContinental brand since 2017 and is the first InterContinental hotel to open in the Pacific Northwest.
The hotel is located at the intersection of Northeast 8th Street and Bellevue Way and features 208 rooms with nightly rates ranging from $500 to $7,200. The guest rooms and suites are designed with expansive windows, bespoke headboards, and furnishings made from Italian vegan leather.
The hotel will also offer Michelin-star dining by Joshua Skenes, a Clefs d’Or concierge program, and 24/7 room service. Future amenities will include a dedicated butler-serviced floor, a Rolls-Royce house car service, and access to an ultra-luxury yacht.
InterContinental Bellevue is part of the Avenue Bellevue development, a two-tower mixed-use complex that includes retail spaces, residences, and the hotel. The development includes 141 Estate Homes in the South Tower and 224 residences in the West Tower, reflecting the vision of Fortress Development CEO Andy Lakha.
