Alo, the popular athletic apparel retailer, is now open at Bellevue Square. The store is located on the first floor, across from Fireworks and Kiehl’s, in the space previously occupied by Amazon Books.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2007 by Danny Harris and Marco DeGeorge, Alo was created with the mission of inspiring people to incorporate yoga into their lives. Over the years, the brand has gained popularity among celebrities and activewear enthusiasts.
The company is known for its yoga clothes and accessories, but the brand has expanded to include workout clothes, everyday apparel, and a range of products such as shoes, handbags, wallets, jewelry, and other accessories. The brand prioritizes ethical manufacturing, with products made in the U.S., Turkey, Indonesia, Portugal, Vietnam, and China.
The retailer is committed to achieving maximum comfort with minimal environmental impact. Alo’s activewear is designed to be both stylish and functional, offering collections for yoga, lounging, tennis, and running.
This marks Alo’s first store in Washington state.
In 2022, Amazon announced the closure of all its physical bookstores, pop-up shops, and “4-star” stores across the United States and the United Kingdom. As part of this, the Amazon Books location at Bellevue Square was closed, leaving the space vacant since then.
