Rascals Public House, a new casual dining spot in Bellevue, has officially opened its doors, offering American-style pub food. The restaurant is located at 10650 Northeast 4th Street, at the base of the Bellevue Towers in the South Tower.
The 4,400-square-foot space was previously occupied by Cast Iron Studios, a restaurant owned by Heavy Restaurant Group, which closed in August 2020 due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The menu at Rascals Public House includes a wide variety of dishes ranging from appetizers and soups to salads, sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. Some notable menu items include country-fried steak bites, a double blue wedge salad, a fried bologna sandwich, a Korean burger, pork chops, mashed potatoes with gravy, and cheesecake for dessert.
In addition to the full menu, Rascals Public House also features a daily happy hour, available from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and again from 10:00 PM to close. The restaurant is 21+ only.
The location is situated next to Pot Belly Sandwich Shop, which has been a constant in the area since its opening in August 2011. The eatery offers toasted sandwiches, salads, and baked goods.
Rascals Public House takes over the space formerly occupied by Heavy Restaurant Group’s Cast Iron Studios, which, along with Purple Bellevue and Lot No. 3, closed due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. CEO Larry Kurofsky noted that while the restaurants had been performing well before the pandemic, the public health crisis forced the group to reassess the long-term viability of their Bellevue locations.
Also set to open in a former Heavy Restaurant Group space at Bellevue Towers is SuperKim Crab House, which will take over the location previously occupied by Lot 3. The new restaurant will focus on seafood, known for its renowned clam chowder and seafood boils.
