Laderach Bellevue

Läderach, the Swiss chocolate maker known for its handmade treats, has opened its second store in Washington State at Bellevue Square. Located on the mall’s second level next to Me + Crepe, the retailer officially opened with a special chocolate giveaway.

The first 200 people to visit receive free FrischSchoggi slabs, including popular flavors like Milk Hazelnut and Strawberry Curd. This store follows Läderach’s recent opening at Westfield Southcenter and is part of a larger plan to add more than ten U.S. locations this year.

Everyday throughout grand opening week, guests will receive a free Läderach cooling bag with their $75+ purchase.

Inside the Bellevue Square boutique, shoppers will see Läderach’s signature FrischSchoggi—fresh chocolate slabs broken by hand at the counter. The store also offers pralines, truffles, chocolate pearls, and seasonal assortments. The brand stresses Swiss quality and tradition in every item.

Läderach is family-owned and began in 1962 in Glarus, Switzerland. Since then, it’s grown into the country’s largest chocolate retailer, with over 200 shops in 21 countries. Läderach is expanding in the U.S., confident in its rising popularity, especially with its fresh-chocolate experience.

The new store sits in a spot that once housed a Theo Chocolate pop-up and earlier, The Body Shop.

  1. Jürg Läderach and his son Johannes have been involved in the Christianity for Today association for many years, which has been criticized for its views (rejection of same-sex partnerships, opposition to abortion).
