The Shops at The Bravern

Jiang Nan, a high-end Chinese restaurant at The Shops at The Bravern, has permanently closed. The restaurant was located at 11111 Northeast Eighth Street in Bellevue.

Jiang Nan opened in March 2025, taking over a space previously occupied by Sugar Factory and, before that, Artisanal Brasserie & Wine Bar. Sugar Factory opened in September 2017 and closed in August 2021. The Bellevue location had been the brand’s first West Coast outpost.

The Michelin-recognized restaurant originated in Flushing, New York, and is known for serving dishes from multiple regions of China. Menu items included Peking Duck, Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), and Grilled Fish. Jiang Nan currently operates locations in New York, New Jersey, Boston, Philadelphia, and Irvine. Irvine is the most recent location to open.

Bellevue is no longer listed on the company’s website. The Bellevue restaurant was independently owned by Jay and Chen Lei.

A representative for The Shops at The Bravern did not respond to a request for comment as to why the restaurant shuttered its doors. This article will be updated if additional information becomes available.

  1. Not Interested in Chinese. We have more than enough Chinese ,products!

  2. Bellevue lost PF Chang’s too.

  3. Sano sounds like a winner…

  4. Not a good location. Parking is horrible in that complex.

  5. It was my favorite, so sad that it closed so abruptly

  6. I agree about the parking. Without Neiman’s there, the garage was eerily empty. I didn’t feel safe there. The valet was fine, but the shops were not all interesting to me after Ferragamo and Brooks Brothers left. I wish John Howie Steak was open for lunch, must without the Microsoft employees there, I can understand the business case.
