Chinese restaurant Jiang Nan is now open at The Shops at The Bravern as of Saturday, March 8, 2025. The Michelin-recognized restaurant, which originated in Flushing, NY, offers a fusion dining experience featuring flavors from various regions of China.
The restaurant’s menu includes signature dishes such as Peking Duck, Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), and Grilled Fish.
According to their website, Jiang Nan was recognized as one of the only Chinese fusion restaurants on the 2024 Michelin Recommended List.
This is Jiang Nan’s first location on the West Coast, joining its existing restaurants on the East Coast in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Massachusetts.
Permits for the Washington location were submitted to the City of Bellevue in August 2023. Jiang Nan occupies the space previously home to Sugar Factory, which opened in September 2017 and closed in August 2021. Before Sugar Factory, the location was occupied by Artisanal Brasserie & Wine Bar, which operated for less than a year before closing in 2010.
The total tenant space was previously 10,238 square feet under Artisanal Brasserie & Wine Bar. Jiang Nan has taken over 7,996 square feet of the restaurant portion, excluding the former wine bar area.
