Tem Sib Eatery & Bar served its final day on Aug. 31 at the base of Ten20 Tower in Downtown Bellevue. The same team is turning the space into SUDA, a new Thai restaurant and bar set to open this fall.
The restaurant sits at 1020 108th Ave NE, Suite 100, on 108th Avenue Northeast. It is closed while the space is renovated for the new concept. The closing announcement put the reopening after mid-September; SUDA is now listing a fall 2026 opening.
In a message to customers, the Tem Sib and SUDA team thanked diners for their support over the years and described the closing as “not goodbye” but “the beginning of something new,” promising a new experience and new flavors in the same room.
SUDA has been in development for several months. In a separate message, the team framed the restaurant around a single question — where Thai food can go next — and said it will cook from the flavors, ingredients and traditions its members grew up with while making room to experiment, including with ingredients sourced in the Pacific Northwest.
The group said it is currently testing dishes, developing cocktails and setting up the space, and plans to introduce the people behind SUDA over the coming weeks.
The restaurant opened in December 2018 as Tem Sib Thai Food Reimagined, the fifth Washington restaurant for primary owners Kay Fuengarom and Sudarat Tiacharoenwat. Its menu ran from small plates, raw dishes and salads to grilled items, soups, noodles, rice and Thai street food, with dishes including fresh Pacific oysters, chicken stuffed green curry, char-grilled pork shoulder, crunchy crab and tom kha prawn soup priced between $8 and $22. Diners parked free in the Ten20 garage.
The same owners went on to open Fern on Main Street in Old Bellevue in 2019, in the storefront previously occupied by Local Burger.
SUDA has not announced a specific opening date.
