According to a statement released by Governor Inslee, greater measures are being taken to protect against COVID-19.
“Given the explosion of COVID-19 in our state and globally, I will sign a statewide emergency proclamation tomorrow to temporarily shut down restaurants, bars and entertainment and recreational facilities.”
Moving forward, restaurants will be allowed to provide take-out and delivery service. People are not permitted to dine-in.
The ban will not apply to grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations and banks. Other retail outlets will have reduced occupancy.
Inslee went on to explain, “Additionally, all gatherings with over 50 participants are prohibited and all gatherings under 50 participants are prohibited unless previously announced criteria for public health and social distancing are met.”
Last week, The Bellevue Collection announced that they are modifying their hours following the recommendations from the CDC and King County Health Department. Other Bellevue businesses have also taken action to shift their operating hours or close altogether.
