Cafe Pirouette Bellevue

Café Pirouette, best known for their crepes has closed. The restaurant at 14 102nd Ave NE closed a couple of weeks ago abruptly. Flowers to the People, a florist that used to be on Main Street has moved into the space. The site where Café Pirouette previously occupied has long term plans to be demolished and turned into a multi-story residential building.

  1. Its sad to see all of the old buildings that give this part of Bellevue character are being torn down for new construction. I guess they will have to change the name to Mulit-use Building Bellevue, since nothing about Old Bellevue will really be ‘Old’ in the next few years.

  2. ^ I agree that soon there will be nothing really “Old” about Old bellevue but most of the older buildings weren’t worth keeping around anyways. It’s not like they were turn of the century buildings like in Pioneer Square. We’re talking about crappy generic buildings from the 60’s and 70’s.

  3. That’s true Mitchell, it would be nice if they at least tried to keep the same look, maybe smaller buildings with some sort of charm. I hope the buildings at the area of the intersection of Main and 102nd stay the same!

  4. sad to see even the vintage looking buildings, the varied storefronts and unique entries, fall by the wayside. Hyde park in Tampa did a nice job re-creating a Main Street feeling…as did Cherry Creek North in Denver. Hopeful we can see an end result that is charming too!
