The Bravern in Downtown Bellevue.
The biggest rental address downtown was supposed to be condos: Schnitzer West’s two Bravern Signature Residences towers over The Shops at The Bravern, switched to apartments in 2010 and leased today by Windsor — 455 homes, nine penthouses and a resident spa, a short walk from the light-rail station.
The Bravern is the pair of apartment towers at 688 110th Ave NE that rise over The Shops at The Bravern, on the superblock between NE 6th and NE 8th on the east side of downtown Bellevue — across NE 6th from Meydenbauer Center, a short walk from the Bellevue Downtown light-rail station. Schnitzer West delivered the towers in March 2010 with 455 homes, and Windsor Communities leases them today: studios to three-bedrooms, plus nine two-level penthouses on the top floors. Residents share a Signature Spa with a whirlpool, sauna and steam room, a fitness center, a great room with a chef’s kitchen, a private theater, two fireside lobbies, a terrace garden and an onsite concierge, with Hermès, Louis Vuitton and John Howie Steak at the foot of the towers.
It was never meant to be a rental. DBN covered The Bravern Signature Residences as a condominium project from the start — the South Tower topped out in March 2009 with its final pour on the 33rd floor, and model condos opened on the North Tower’s eighth floor in January 2010. Three months later, on April 27, 2010, Schnitzer West announced that the South Tower’s 232 homes would become luxury apartments because of the changing condo market, keeping the North Tower for condos and saying it might sell the South Tower as condos later. The apartments held a grand-opening weekend that May with 45 homes already leased, and by October 2010, with more than 65 percent of them taken, the North Tower opened as apartments too. Neither tower went back to condos: in October 2013 Schnitzer West sold the Bravern Signature Residences, both towers, as a single rental property for a Puget Sound record price per apartment.
It suits a renter who wants condo-grade space and services — and, at the top, a penthouse — with the 2 Line and the Bravern offices at the door. Our condo guide sends Bravern searchers here because it is a rental; see how it compares in our guide to every downtown Bellevue apartment building.

Getting Around & Living Here
The Bravern block is downtown’s luxury-retail and office corner; the notes below are for prospective renters and visitors.
Getting There & Parking
- Drive: Residents park in the building’s garage, where Windsor lists reserved parking and electric-vehicle charging stations, and the community is controlled-access. No guest-parking policy for residents’ visitors is published; ask the leasing office before a move-in or a visit.
- Light rail: 2 Line to Bellevue Downtown Station, then cross NE 6th and walk north along 110th Ave NE to the residential entrance at 688 — see our light rail guide
- On foot: The Shops at The Bravern are at the foot of the towers, Meydenbauer Center is across NE 6th, and Alley 111 and the Elements towers are across NE 8th to the north; Lincoln Square and Bellevue Square are west along NE 8th past 108th and Bellevue Way.
What It’s Like
The towers sit above a luxury shopping center and beside office towers, so the ground level is busy with shoppers, diners and office workers, and NE 8th and 110th carry steady traffic. Windsor’s own pitch leans on the services — concierge, spa, penthouse house care — and on having the Bellevue Downtown light-rail station, which its FAQ calls “just steps away,” and The Shops at The Bravern at the door. It suits a renter moving up from a smaller building or down from a house who wants condo-sized rooms and hotel-style services without buying, and anyone whose commute is the 2 Line or the Bravern office towers.
What’s Nearby
The DBN-profiled stops right downstairs: The Dolar Shop on the NE 6th side of The Bravern, HEYTEA on the 110th Ave NE side of the Shops, or Louis Vuitton facing NE 8th.
Good to Know
Condo or rental: older listings and DBN’s own 2008 to 2010 coverage call it The Bravern Signature Residences condominiums, but both towers have leased as apartments since 2010, were sold together as one rental property in 2013, and are leased today by Windsor. Pets are welcome with breed restrictions and fees, and the property is smoke free. Windsor’s site lists the penthouses separately, with their own concierge services. The name is shared with The Shops at The Bravern and the Bravern office towers, which are separate properties on the same block.
The Bravern FAQ
Where are The Bravern apartments?
At 688 110th Ave NE, in the two residential towers that rise over The Shops at The Bravern on the east side of downtown Bellevue, on the block between NE 6th and NE 8th Streets and 110th and 112th Avenues. Meydenbauer Center faces the block across NE 6th, and Windsor describes the Bellevue Downtown 2 Line station as just steps away.
Is The Bravern a condo or an apartment building?
An apartment building. It was designed and marketed as The Bravern Signature Residences condominiums, but in April 2010 developer Schnitzer West turned the South Tower into rentals, and that October the North Tower opened as apartments as well. In 2013 Schnitzer West sold both towers together as one 455-home rental property. As of September 2026 Windsor Communities leases the whole building as The Bravern.
How many homes are in The Bravern, and when was it built?
455 homes in two towers, per developer Schnitzer West, which delivered the building in March 2010; that is the count DBN reported at the 2009 topping-off and the one the 2013 sale price was calculated on. DBN’s October 2010 leasing report listed 211 homes in the North Tower and 232 in the South. Layouts run from studios to three-bedrooms, plus nine two-level penthouses.
What amenities does The Bravern have?
As of September 2026 Windsor lists the Signature Spa with a whirlpool, dry sauna, steam room and treatment rooms; a fitness center with a yoga patio; a great room with a chef’s kitchen; a private theater; a resident clubroom; two fireside lobbies; a terrace garden with grills; two outdoor pet areas; an onsite concierge; controlled access; reserved parking and EV charging. Penthouse residents get a dedicated Premier Concierge.
Does The Bravern allow pets, and how do you tour?
Pets are welcome, with two outdoor pet areas on the property; breed restrictions and pet fees apply, per Windsor’s FAQ. Windsor offers guided tours with an associate, self-guided tours and live video tours, booked on its site or through the leasing office at (425) 215-0166.
