Zeeks Pizza BellevueIt has been confirmed that Zeeks Pizza will be coming to Bellevue and will be going into the location that was previously occupied by Nature’s Pantry on NE 10th St, next to University Bookstore.

The Bellevue location will occupy 4,100 square feet and will be the Seattle area’s 9th Zeeks Pizza. The new restaurant will offer sit-down dining, as well as delivery. Zeeks is planning to open this summer in June.

  1. It’s really too bad they would pick that location. Doesn’t seem to be much good parking there.

  2. There’s usually plenty in the underground parking lot.

  3. but why? we just got a pizzeria here. why not something else?

  4. Like what else? We ask ourselves regularly, what’s missing? Is it a true neighborhood bar and grill? Places to really hang out? What comes to mind for you guys?

  5. The neighborhood can support more than one pizzeria. For one I am glad that we are getting gourmet pizza restaurants like Mod and Zeeks instead of mediocre chain frachises.

    Hmmm… I’ll start a list.

    * Decent Teriyaki (unfortunately, Toshi’s and Teriyaki Bowl don’t qualify in my book)
    * A good, family-friendly Italian place (Maggiano’s is close, but too formal)
    * A salad-oriented restaurant (RIP Zoopa)
    * Gourmet Chinese cuisines (Facing East is close for Taiwanese, PF Chang’s doesn’t count).

    Anyone want to add more?

  7. ^We really need a good sports bar/restaurant. The upstairs at Rock Bottom is ok, but I’d really like a BJ’s or maybe even something like a Buffalo Wild Wings (none in Washington yet, unfortunately). Just a place with lots of TV’s, and most importantly, some with sound active (the biggest games going on at the time).

  8. Ooh, this IS good news — I like their pizza and it will be nice to have it a bit closer to home! Looking forward to checking it out this summer.

  9. the main two places that make me leave DT to shop at are REI and Target.

As far as food goes I think we have plenty of premium places, what we need is more quick / cheap food.

We also desperately need Traders Joes to occupy the old Boater’s World location…

  10. Your never going to see Target Downtown Bellevue. But I agree with you as many do here on Trader Joes. we need great coffee too, Zoka would do the trick.

  11. Zeeks is garbage. Service at their Issaquah location is horrendous and they are way overpriced. I decided to try them a while ago and got a large pizza and it was close to $30?? WTF. Also, they have only select times when you can get pizza by the slice at some locations and some locations don’t offer it all. My recomendation is to stay away…there are too many better options. MOD here I come! 🙂

  12. My vote is for TRADER JOE’s!!! We should start a movement. 😉

  13. Re: Trader Joes, there’s a form on their website to request new locations.

  14. Who would even consider MOD a gourmet or even good Pizza? The very best and most authentic Pizza place in downtown Bellevue is Topolino’s on NE 8th. An independent- not a mediocre chain.

  15. Jonka, you hit it right on. We need a good Teriyaki spot! I was disappointed when Sunny Teriyaki closed at Bellevue Place. That was the best.

  16. Hi Joe,

My husband and I just enjoyed Tom Douglas’s “Serious Pie Pizza” downtown on Virgina. Is there any place on the Eastside serving wood fired pizza with outstanding authentic/natural ingredients, seems so hard to come by and yet something Eastsiders would love. Thanks for letting me know if there is a great spot I’m unaware of!!

  17. Wow Trader Joe’s do you know what was there before Zeeks? Nature’s Pantry a health food store with an organic Juice Bar, Raw Food, Deli, Vitamins, Bodycare and Supplements. Not only is Zeeks mediocre at best but the took the spot of one of Bellevue’s first health food stores. Nature’s Pantry was family owned and run in Bellevue for more than 38 years. Way to go great support for the community and health in general.
