“Drive Thru Boba & Ice Cream”, located on Northeast 4th Street, is closing its doors permanently on March 14th. The boba shop opened eight years ago, offering fresh-brewed teas, coffees, hand-crafted ice creams and snacks.

According to a Facebook post, the owners, a husband and wife, are closing their store with a bittersweet feeling and reminisce of their experience moving locations and growing their business. They also talk about watching their customers go through different life stages like engagements, marriages and babies.

They are using this next chapter of their lives to “recharge their batteries, reconnect with old friends, plan their next steps, and dream bigger.”

To stay in touch, they recommend following their Facebook and Instagram pages or emailing them with an address provided on their Facebook page, @drivethruboba.

The owners had a previous location in Factoria with a drive-thru that closed when they opened their downtown Bellevue shop.

Cefiore Frozen Yogurt occupied this location previous to “Drive Thru Boba & Ice Cream”.

  1. My fav anecdote (apocryphal?) about this joint is that their permit was delayed because drive-thru’s are not allowed in Downtown Bellevue

  2. Given the ever increasing competition I am not surprised to see a shop that used to enjoy near monopoly but offered mediocre products and poor service close its door.
