Bellden Cafe owner, Claire Sumadiwirya, was recently awarded a dream vacation as a reward from the national television show, Good Morning America. Claire is a single mom of three whose business goes above and beyond to help the community.

From the time of opening in 2017, Bellden was committed to routinely featuring and benefiting local charities. A part of their menu is dedicated to “Charity Drinks”. For example, 25% of profits made from “Let Me Love you Latte” is donated to low-income families.

Sumadiwirya has built her business model to serve the community and bring everyone together. Even during the hardship of the pandemic, when Bellden Cafe lost 90% of its sales in the first month, Claire used her savings to keep her staff employed and continued to donate to charities and give out free coffees, reminding people that they “were not alone”.

Good morning America, who held a contest called “Make My GMA Day Vacay”, along with sponsor, Expedia, wanted to lift Claire up and reward all of her hard work with a free trip to Belize for her and her children. They gave her the reward at her shop on Main Street in Bellevue.

Bellden Cafe features specialty coffee, pastries, and premium snacks like açaí bowls and avocado toast.
