Race organizers recently announced that the annual St. Jude Rock ’n Roll Marathon will no longer be taking place in Seattle. Beginning in 2022, the Running Series will be held in Bellevue.
Known for being a marathon, it will newly be a half-marathon and 5k, referred to as the “Rock ’n Roll Running Series”. Runners and walkers can enjoy a course filled with music every mile and skyline views.
The race will be taking place on Labor Day Weekend. It will begin and end at the Bellevue Downtown Park. Other details of the route have not been decided at this time.
Registration opens December 15th. Anyone who registered for the 2021 event will be registered for the Rock ’n Roll Running Series in Bellevue, automatically. Participants must be at least 12 years of age to participate in the Half Marathon. Online registration closes on August 28, 2022.
St. Jude Rock ’n Roll Washington will feature a two-day Health & Fitness Expo before the race, where participants can pick up their race packets. It will feature the latest running technologies, fitness apparel, health and nutritional information and interactive displays.
Due to regulations with COVID and other issues, the race has not taken place since 2019.
