Design Review approval has been granted to real estate developer, Bosa Development, for their project at Park Row. Located on Bellevue Way Northeast, it is currently a strip mall including stores like Sugar ’n Flakes, Julep Nail Salon, and Emerald City Smoothie.
The approval was regarding constructing a 22-story residential tower containing 143 units, with 8,456 square feet of ground-level active-use space. There will be three levels of below-grade parking to accommodate 275 parking stalls.
The application also included street frontage improvements, a mid-block pedestrian connection across Bellevue Way Northeast, landscaping, exterior lighting, an on-site through-block pedestrian connection, a public plaza space, and design coordination with the eastern edge of the Downtown Park.
Canada-based Amanat Architect designed the residential development directly above Bellevue Downtown Park. The lot that the project sits on is approximately 1.07 acres.
In May 2023, the real estate developer applied for approval from the City of Bellevue to construct a new sales center at 10465 Northeast 2nd Street. This would be at the base of their luxury condo tower, One88.
Bosa Development acquired the Park Row property for $36 million in 2019 from Park Row LLC.
Park Row is located across from Bosa’s other residential project, One88. The luxury tower features 21 stories of one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences and penthouses. The condominium building sold out in 2021.
That makes total sense. Let’s surround the only decent park in downtown Bellevue with skyscrapers so it gets no sun and feels closed in. Nice job City of Bellevue for thinking about the bigger picture. Let’s just keep adding in more people and make the natural public spaces less appealing. Follow the money.
