The highly anticipated Peruvian restaurant, La Mar, is expected to open in Bellevue this summer. The date for the opening at the Amazon-leased office building, West Main, as confirmed by Lori Mason Curran of Vulcan Real Estate.

Vulcan Real Estate first announced that La Mar leased space at West Main in Bellevue last February 2023. The eatery will be located on the ground level at 117 106th Avenue Northeast.

Gastón Acurio, La Mar founder, explained, “Peruvian cuisine is a melting pot of cultures from all over the world joined in a delicious world of unique Peruvian flavors. In recent years, our cuisine has been sharing its food culture all over the world, especially in cities that love food and celebrate world culinary diversity like Seattle, where Peruvian cuisine is represented at great restaurants. That’s why it’s an honor for La Mar to arrive in Seattle at one of the most iconic buildings, with the best of our Peruvian seafood culture, so we can be part of this beautiful story between our cuisine and Seattle.”

The restaurant space will be 10,000 square feet with both indoor and outdoor seating and lounge space. There will also be a terrace, a ceviche bar, and an open kitchen concept. La Mar will have a seafood display and Peruvian artwork from local artists.

Located within West Main, the Vulcan Real Estate-owned and Amazon-leased space is now officially open and complete. West Main is a three-tower 1,030,000-square-foot office and retail development designed by Graphite Design Group and Compton Design Office for Vulcan Real Estate.

Amazon has leased all of the space at West Main, and recently moved into the first tower, named “Dynamo”. The retail space is occupied by some of the world’s largest names in hospitality. La Mar Cebucheria Peruana is a prime example of that. This is only the third location for the restaurant in the United States.
