Itadaki Yakiniku, a new Japanese steakhouse, has opened at Bellevue Connection, located at 550 106th Avenue Northeast. The restaurant merges traditional Japanese barbecue techniques with a touch of French elegance, offering a fine dining experience.

The menu features a diverse selection of Japanese-flavored dishes and premium beef cuts, including A5 Wagyu, American Wagyu, and locally sourced Angus Beef. Itadaki Yakiniku offers a curated 8-course set menu, which includes a special vegan option in addition to its traditional offerings.

Japanese barbecue, or yakiniku, typically emphasizes simple preparation and relies on sauces for flavor. Dipping sauces traditionally include garlic, mirin, and soy sauce, while the dining experience includes bite-sized slices of beef and pork grilled over a charcoal flame.

The restaurant occupies a space that was previously home to COCO Asian Cuisine Izakaya-Sushi Bar, which operated from 2017 until its closure in 2022. Before COCO, Tap House Grill occupied the space, closing in November 2015 after 13 years in business.
