Spanish fast-fashion brand Mango will be opening a new store at Bellevue Square, located on the second level next to Zara and Victoria’s Secret. The store will feature a wide range of clothing and accessories for men, women, and children.
Founded in Barcelona by brothers Isak and Nahman Andic, Mango has grown into an international brand known for its trendy and affordable fashion. The company designs, manufactures, and markets clothing and accessories for its primary target audience—young women between the ages of 20-35 years.
The company entered the U.S. market in 2006 with its first store in Los Angeles, and by 2008, it had launched a menswear line. In 2011, Mango held its first fashion show outside of Spain, continuing to expand its global presence.
As of 2024, Mango is greatly increasing its footprint in the United States, with new store openings in places such as Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. By the end of the year, the company plans to have 40 stores across the U.S., a substantial increase from just 10 stores in 2022.
Mango competes directly with other fast-fashion retailers such as H&M and Zara.
Isak Andic, the founder and longtime chairman of Mango, passed away in recently in 2024 at the age of 71 following a fall while hiking near Barcelona. At the time of his death, Andic held a net worth of approximately $4.5 billion, according to Forbes. Andic is survived by three children, one of whom will succeed him.
