A vehicle crashed into the front of a Chipotle restaurant in downtown Bellevue, causing significant damage to the building and prompting a response from police and emergency personnel.
The incident occurred at the Chipotle Mexican Grill located at 10503 Northeast 4th Street. Based on observations from the scene, a black Mercedes-Benz appears to have driven into the front of the restaurant, damaging the storefront, exterior siding and entrance doors.
Photos from the scene show extensive damage to the front of the building, including shattered glass and a partially collapsed entrance area. The vehicle appeared to be lodged against the front of the restaurant following the crash.
Bellevue Police officers and paramedics responded to the scene. It is currently unknown whether anyone was injured or what may have caused the crash.
Officials had taped off the area while emergency crews assessed the scene and the damage to the building.
