According to the Employment Security Department, Homegrown Partners LLC will permanently close 10 Seattle-are locations. In Downtown Bellevue, this affects Wonderbowl, which is located at The Bellevue Collection’s Lincoln South Food Hall.

The company attributed the decision to an “unsustainable model” resulting from economic pressures, including rising labor and food costs.

Two locations will remain open: one on Mercer Island and another in downtown Seattle. According to reports, Homegrown’s catering business will continue to operate. However, when the restaurants close on September 15th, a total of 158 employees will be laid off.

Wonderbowl is a restaurant concept that offers grain bowls that can be customized to meet dietary needs. We first reported that it would be opening at Lincoln South Food Hall in June 2020.

Wonderbowl started out as a mobile food cart in Seattle in 2012. It began with the name “I Love My GFF” and was changed to “Wonderbowl” after being acquired by The Homegrown Group in 2019.

Conscious Hospitality Group is set to open three new restaurants at Lincoln South Food Hall: a nonalcoholic seltzer bar, a Detroit-style Korean pizzeria, and a salad, sandwich, and juice bar. Each of these restaurants will occupy 500 square feet.
