Cafe Hagen will be opening a new location in downtown Bellevue at the Symetra Financial Center, located at 777 108th Avenue Northeast. The new café is scheduled to open September 16th, according to signage. Additionally, Cafe Hagen plans to open another location in Kirkland in the fall of 2024.
Maria Beck, the owner of Cafe Hagen, moved to Seattle from Scandinavia with the intention of sharing the principles of hygge—focusing on comfort and enjoyment of simple pleasures. This philosophy is reflected in Cafe Hagen’s offerings, which include specialty coffee and home-baked pastries in a comfortable and inviting setting.
The new Café location will feature Scandinavian-influenced coffee from Hagen Coffee Roasters, including an exclusive coffee line roasted specifically for the café. The menu will offer Scandinavian-style food and snacks.
The eatery serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, specialty coffee, wine, and cocktails. The café emphasizes homemade baked goods, utilizing Scandinavian pastry recipes, house-made sauces and syrups, and made-to-order brunch items.
Since opening its first location in South Lake Union in 2019, Cafe Hagen has expanded to three additional locations in Seattle. The Bellevue and Kirkland openings will be the café’s first ventures on the Eastside.
