Eastside Home Prices Increase Nearly 10% in 2024, Leading King County

Homeowners in Bellevue and across the Eastside are seeing significant increases in property values this year, according to early data from the King County Assessor’s Office. While most of King County experienced modest gains, the Eastside — including Bellevue — led the way with an average increase of 9.81%.

The annual property valuation notices reflect market activity from January 1, 2024, and will be used to calculate property taxes due in 2025.

Region Average Value Change (2024)

  • Eastside (including Bellevue) +9.81%
  • Seattle +4.16%
  • Southeast King County +5.42%
  • Southwest King County +1.95%
  • All of King County +5.54%

Property taxes in King County are based on government budgets and voter-approved levies. Each year, the county assessor revalues every property to match current market trends. Homeowners who disagree with their new assessment can file an appeal.

Valuation notices are being mailed now, and Bellevue residents can look up their property details.
