Hours after the ‘Wedding of the Century’ on Friday, April 29th, the Act Two Guild and 300 people, mostly women of the Eastside, gathered together for the 3rd annual Silhouettes of Style at The Westin Bellevue . The goal was to raise money for the opening of the Tateuchi Center with Michelle Philips-Baransky and host, Molly Shen of Komo 4 News . The Bellevue Collection presented a Royal Fashion Show with lunch and champagne to all the women that afternoon who looked like they may have been guests at the royal wedding.

The Royal Fashion Show consisted of the following trends:

  • The Minimalist – many neutrals, blacks, and white solids, which is prominent in many wardrobes in the Northwest
  • Print Renegade – perfect for any “Kodak moment” this summer
  • “Proper” Lady – to celebrate Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding and to recognize Princess Catherine’s style, including her famous feathered headpiece
  • White Out – the cleanest trend that brings out the perfect glow in all of us
  • 70’s Homage – makes bell-bottom jeans and sheer tops look hip again
  • Bright Delight – adds a splash of color to our neutral closet
  • Nautical Nuances – perfect for SeaFair
  • Sahara – tribal inspired trends are back in style
  • Special Occasion – to end the Fashion Show in glam, with sequin and metallic pieces

The event raised $40,000 in support of  the 2,000-seat concert hall, Tateuchi Center, that is intended to open in 2014. To help support the Eastside’s first World-class Performing Arts Center click here.
