The Best Hair Salons, Barbers & Spas in Downtown Bellevue.
From a two-chair barbershop that has been cutting hair on Main Street since 1947 to a hydrotherapy spa, a luxury head spa and a Drybar tucked inside Nordstrom, here is every salon, barber, spa, nail bar and lash studio we could verify open downtown, with how to book and where to park.
The last time we published a salon list for downtown Bellevue, it was 2009 and it fit in a sixteen-row table. Thirteen of those salons are now listed as closed. Obadiah, Seven, Paule Attar and Mia & Maxx have all closed, and Gene Juarez moved from the old Galleria to The Bravern. What grew up in their place is a much broader beauty neighborhood: color specialists in new apartment buildings, a Japanese-style head spa, a Chinese bathhouse-inspired spa with hot and cool pools, suite buildings full of independent stylists, and a Nordstrom beauty floor where you can book a blowout, lashes, brows and a manicure in one trip.
This guide covers all of it: hair salons, barbershops, day and hotel spas, head spas, nail salons and lash, brow and skin studios. Every business was checked against its own website in September 2026. Where a business publishes prices, we note a starting point, and we tell you how each one books (some are strictly walk-in, some appointment only) and where to park. We left out medical spas and injectables; those are a different kind of appointment.

Gene Juarez Salon & Spa
The Northwest salon brand has been around for more than 50 years, and its Bellevue location at The Shops at The Bravern is the most complete one-stop beauty appointment downtown. On the hair side there are cuts, blowouts, color and blonding with Goldwell master colorists, extensions, keratin, and a barbershop. On the spa side there are facials including Hydrafacial, waxing, brows, lash lifts and extensions, nails, and Swedish massage, which has returned to this location. If you have one afternoon and a long list, this is where to book it.
- Book online; the salon hasn’t published a walk-in policy
- Parking: the salon suggests the Bravern garage near the Ruby or Sapphire elevators, floor 3
- Barbering is on the menu alongside hair and spa services
Salon 8
Salon 8 sits on Bellevue Square’s main level just outside Nordstrom, near Tiffany and across from Tesla, which makes it the easy answer when you want a serious cut or color on a shopping day. The menu is focused: cuts, air-wave styling, conditioning and smoothing treatments, single-process color, foils, balayage and bleach-and-tone, plus extensions by consultation. Every new guest gets a complimentary face-shape and skin-tone analysis, and the salon uses its own exclusive äz Craft haircare line.
- Appointments by phone; the salon confirms the day before
- 24-hour cancellation policy
- Free Bellevue Square parking
House of Hebe
Named for the Greek goddess of youth, House of Hebe opened in 2021 at the street level of the BLU apartments, across from Downtown Park and a block from Main Street. It’s a small, personal salon: owner and stylist Aleeta has spent 22 years behind the chair and is a Bellami extensions specialist. The strengths are blonding and full highlights, blowouts, extensions and Brazilian smoothing treatments. An esthetician on site handles lash lifts, tints and skincare, and the shelves carry Oribe and R+Co.
- Separate online booking for hair and for skin and lashes
- Walk into Downtown Park afterward; it’s across the street
Chromatique Salon
Chromatique moved into the former Drybar space at Bellevue Place and has become one of downtown’s go-to color salons. It does babylights, balayage, foilayage, bleach-and-tone, gloss and color correction, plus its own Chromatique Hair Co. hand-tied extensions. Stylists are priced across five experience levels, from junior to expert, so you can pick your price point by picking your stylist. The salon also runs an apprenticeship program, which is where the junior tier comes from.
- Book through its online system; a new-client consultation is recommended
- Extension consultations are $50
- 24-hour cancellation notice
Salon 44
The Bellevue sister to 44th St Salon in Renton opened in 2023 on the second floor of the Brio building near 112th Avenue NE, with 16 chairs built around modern color: balayage, blonding, bleach-and-tone and platinum. It also does cuts, extensions, perms and Kérastase treatments, and it sells Kérastase, Redken and Milbon. First-time clients book online. The building garage is the easiest parking downtown for a long color appointment.
- First-time clients book online
- Brio building garage, entered from 112th Ave NE or NE 11th St, has 2 free hours (per WIN Hair, which shares the suite)
Square Roots Salon
Stylist Jamee Mahmood, a second-generation stylist, opened Square Roots in June 2023 on NE 4th Street near Bellevue Way. It’s a true family salon, with women’s, men’s and children’s cuts, plus color, highlights, balayage, extensions, smoothing treatments, perms and makeup. When it opened, the lounge had a fireplace and complimentary coffee.
- Book online through the salon’s site, or call

Joe Bae Salon
Joe Bae went to beauty school in 2010 and apprenticed at Obadiah, one of the salons on our original 2009 list, before opening his own boutique salon just south of Main Street. - Book online
- Pair a cut here with a scalp treatment at Joon on 108th Ave NE

- Walk-ins and appointments both welcome

Refine Beauty Salon
Downtown’s newest full-service salon opened December 1, 2025 at Avenue Bellevue. Owner Kieu Hoang Jorza has worked in beauty since 1998 and runs sister salons in Seattle. What sets Refine apart is range. Along with color and balayage, it does textured-hair services (Cezanne smoothing, relaxers, thermal press), weaves and extensions, updos, and a full nail menu from Gel-X to builder overlays. Brows, tints and DiamondGlow and iS Clinical facials are booked through its sister esthetics studio.
- Book online; Mondays are by appointment only
- Validated valet at the InterContinental for the first 2 hours; the salon suggests the Avalon garage for longer visits

Plaza Salon
“European Artistry Meets Bellevue” is Plaza Salon’s tagline. It’s a calm, first-floor salon in the Plaza Center building whose artists have extra training in design, color, waxing and airbrush makeup. Beyond cuts, color and treatments, it does nails and lash extensions, handles weddings and on-location hair and makeup, and offers before- and after-hours private appointments with advance notice. It has the most generous parking on this list.
- By appointment; book online
- Park in the US Bank garage (enter from NE 9th St off 110th Ave NE); the salon validates up to 5 hours
- Private and after-hours appointments with notice
Swank Studio Salon
If extensions are the whole reason you’re booking, go to the specialist. Founder Michelle Metzger has worked only on hair extensions since 2012, and in October 2025 she moved her boutique four-chair studio downtown to 500 108th Avenue NE. The studio does keratin bond, V-Light, weft, tape-in and micro-link extensions, custom color matching for extensions, and keratin smoothing treatments. It doesn’t offer general color services.
- Appointment only; start with a consultation
- Three hours of validated parking
Salon de Beauté
Owner Ti Hong apprenticed at a French salon in Saigon and worked in Paris before moving to Bellevue in 1994 and opening Salon de Beauté. It’s a longtime independent salon and day spa at the east end of Main Street, and it covers nearly everything: hair design, color, perms, men’s barber cuts, manicures and pedicures, lash extensions, waxing, massage including deep tissue and Thai, and European facials from an esthetician with more than 25 years of experience.
- Book by text or phone
- Free parking on the west side of the building

Bellevue Barber Shop
Ward Russell opened this shop in 1947, his brother Norm joined in 1952, and today Ward’s grandsons Kurt Hester and Todd Russell run it. It’s a small Main Street barbershop, two chairs plus a third barber, that does haircuts, buzz cuts, kids’ cuts, beard trims and shaves, and keeps a collection of Bellevue High School yearbooks. There are no appointments: you walk in and wait your turn. It’s the closest thing downtown has to a living landmark.
- Strictly walk-in; the shop doesn’t take appointments
- Kids’ cuts and shaves on the menu
Weldon Barber
Weldon’s flagship opened on Main Street in September 2017. Its staff of barbers and master barbers are known for handling a wide range of hair textures and ethnic styles, and it does men’s and kids’ cuts, beard work and shaves. Book an appointment online, or take your chances as a walk-in.
- Appointments online; walk-in service is available

On The Mark

- Book online
- Services with Mark cost more than with the rest of the team
Bishops Cuts/Color
The Portland-born chain (founded 2001) prices by time, technique and hair length rather than gender. It’s a relaxed, music-forward shop with free drinks that does short and long cuts, buzzes and skin fades, grey blending and vivid color, deluxe shaves and kids’ first haircuts. It’s walk-in friendly, and it offers a 7-day window if something needs fixing.
- Walk-ins welcome; book color ahead online or in the app
- Buzz cuts from $35
- Free consultations; 7-day fix window
Uppercuts Barbershop
Bellevue-raised brothers Noor and MJ Kiswani opened Uppercuts in October 2021 in the Main Street strip center shared with Toshi’s Teriyaki and Broiler Bay. It’s a neighborhood shop for men’s cuts and beard trims, with walk-ins welcome and online booking if you’d rather not wait.
- Walk-ins welcome; online booking available
Capelli’s Gentlemen’s Barbershop
Seattle’s Capelli’s has groomed men since 2003, and its Bellevue shop sits in the Civica Commons lobby behind the big fireplace. That makes it an easy lunch-hour cut for anyone working in the office core. It does haircuts, shaves and scalp massages, and it keeps weekday hours, so plan accordingly.
- Appointments recommended: online, in the Capelli’s app or by phone
- Weekday hours only; check the site

- Card or cash only (no Apple Pay); 3 hours of free Belcarra garage parking, limited
TRUCE Spa
On the Westin’s fourth floor at Lincoln Square, TRUCE starts every visit with a small ritual: you light a personal candle to mark a truce with yourself. After that come massage (including couples), Eminence facials, body treatments, waxing and tinting, and nail care in a dedicated quiet nail area. Showers, lockers, robes, a candle-lit lounge and an infrared sauna wrap make it a real half-day escape, and you can order food from the hotel. You don’t need to be a hotel guest.
- Book online, or call or text
- Open daily except major holidays; check the site
- Spa parties, packages and a VIP membership
