Ashton Bellevue, officially: Hanover’s 20-story rental tower at NE 10th and 108th, opened in August 2009 across the street from its sister TEN20 and leased today by UDR — 202 homes with no studios, penthouses at the top, and a retail base that has housed a Paris-style cafe, a dessert bar and a doughnut shop.
The Ashton — Ashton Bellevue on the leasing site and on the sign over the door — is the 20-story apartment tower on the corner of NE 10th Street and 108th Ave NE, addressed 10710 NE 10th St, across 108th from its sister tower TEN20 and a block south of Ashwood Park, on the north side of downtown between the Bellevue Collection and the library blocks. Hanover built it and opened it in August 2009 with 202 homes and no studios — one-bedrooms from 631 square feet, one-bedrooms with studies, two-bedrooms, townhome-style lofts and a dozen penthouses at the top. UDR runs it today, leasing one- and two-bedrooms and penthouses with a controlled-access garage, electric-vehicle charging and self-guided tours. The shared floors carry a fitness center with a cycle studio, media and billiards lounges, a resident lounge with a gourmet kitchen and an elevated outdoor terrace.
DBN toured the building the week before it opened, in July 2009, and wrote that its finishes and common areas — the textured wood wall and towering ceiling in the lobby, a home theatre, an executive fitness club, the outdoor great room with grills and a fireplace — rivaled the condominiums then opening around it. By January 2011 DBN listed the Ashton among the new downtown towers filling to occupancy, and that November covered the opening of Café Cesura in its first leased retail space at 1015 108th Ave NE, a Stumptown-pouring cafe that lasted 13 years before closing in October 2024. R + M Dessert Bar ran pop-ups in the lobby that winter and opened its Bellevue flagship next door at 1025 108th in April 2025, with Done Donuts taking the old cafe space.
