Courtyard MarriottHEI Hospitality Group recently filed an application to reinstate plans for a 16-story Courtyard by Marriott hotel in downtown Bellevue.

The proposed hotel would be located at 200 110th Ave. NE, 2 blocks south of the Bellevue Transit Center. The plans include 378 guestrooms, a 142-seat restaurant and lounge, 297 parking spaces, and 14,200 square feet of meeting rooms and banquet space, according to an article in the Puget Sound Business Journal.

Connecticut-based HEI Hospitality Group filed the original application in 2007, but it was tabled in 2008, according to the article. The downtown Bellevue project is the company’s first investment in the Pacific Northwest.

  1. It’ll be nice to see the wasteland there get filled out

  2. Good! Who is the local architect handling project/ City of Bellevue/ Construction Administration?

  3. Is that going to be the 3rd or 4th Marriott in downtown Bellevue?

  4. Currently there’s two in Downtown (the Courtyard on NE 8th street and the Residence Inn out near the Wilburton Park and Ride.) but if they built a new Courtyard I’m not sure what they would do with the existing one. It also wouldn’t surprise me if the hotel in the next phase of Lincoln Square ends up being a Marriott since most of the other big chains are already represented in the area.
