Sewer Repair on Bellevue Way and NE 8th
Repair crews will begin sewer repair work at the intersection of Bellevue Way and NE 8th beginning 9PM Friday, Aug. 17, and will continue through the weekend. On Tuesday, Aug. 21 in the evening, grinding and overlay is planned at the intersection. This date may change as the project progresses.
During construction, the northbound lane on Bellevue Way at NE 8th St will be closed at this intersection, as well as the eastbound lane on NE 8th, between 102nd and Bellevue Way, with access to Bellevue Square.
The NE 4th St exit is recommended by the City of Bellevue as a better choice than NE 8th for those wanting to access downtown from Interstate 405.
Repaving on NE 8th St, from 124th to 140th Avenue
Beginning Monday and continuing through Sunday, Aug. 26, paving crews will work on NE 8th St between 124th and 140th Ave NE from 7AM to 5PM. During work hours there will be only one travel lane in each direction while the roadway is prepared for repaving.
On Saturday, Aug. 18, the westbound lanes will be closed for repaving and on Saturday, Aug. 25, the eastbound lanes will be closed for repaving. Drivers are encouraged by the City of Bellevue to find an alternate route to avoid traffic delays.
