Downtown Bellevue Sites Demolished Making Way for Development

If you’ve been driving (or walking) around downtown Bellevue in the last few days you’ve likely seen a change in the landscape. Buildings at the corner of Bellevue Way and Main Street, as well as 106th Ave NE and NE 2nd St have been demolished making way for new construction.

At the northeast corner of Bellevue Way NE and Main Street land has been cleared for the Main Street Gateway Project, which is planned to be made up of 23,475 square feet of retail, 369 apartments, and 625 underground parking stalls.

Similarly at the northeast corner of 106th Ave NE and NE 2nd St, Soma Towers has started development for their second tower that is slated to be complete by the end of 2015 or beginning of 2016. The second tower will be similar to the first tower, which is 21-stories and 148 apartments. The first tower opened in July.
