A new development is set to begin construction on Main Street in downtown Bellevue. Pastakia plans to build a six-story mixed-use building, “Surrey on Main”. The real estate development company specializes in mixed-use projects in the Puget Sound area.

“Surrey on Main” includes 1,500 square feet of ground level retail space, two-levels of below-grade parking and 113,700 square feet of residential space. The space will have 125 apartments with 37 different types of units, ranging from studios to three bedrooms

A design review application was submitted in May with plans to demolish the existing three-story structure, which was previously referred to as the “Old Seattle Times” building. When we first reported on this, the project name in the application was ”Main Street Apartments”.

Construction is slated to begin in December with an expected completion date of summer 2021. The development is located on the Southwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and 108th Avenue Northeast.
