Half Acre Site in Downtown Bellevue on Main Street Sells for $11M

Rudy's Barbershop

According to King County records, the property that Rudy’s Barbershop currently resides on has been sold. The address is 10713 Main Street in Downtown Bellevue.

The site is a mid-block parcel on the south side of Main Street. The lot size is 22,209 square feet (half an acre). Buyer Weiyang LLC paid $11 million for the property. According to public records, Main Street Partners of Bellevue LLC purchased the property in 2013 for $3.9 million. John Stanton, of Main Street Partners of Bellevue, is chairman of the Seattle Mariners.

Baylis Architects filed a Land Use Application with the City of Bellevue for the site of 10713 Main Street. Plans include a six-story residential building with below grade parking. The multifamily residential building will include 116 parking spaces. Units will range from studios to two-bedrooms with den.

Rudy’s Barbershop, currently operating on the site, first opened in Downtown Bellevue at this location in 2014. They filed for Chapter 11 Bankrupcy in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19 on the business. The original founders of Rudy’s Wade Weigel and David Petersen, bought the company out of bankruptcy.

The newly sold property is next to Surrey on Main. According to the City of Bellevue, Pastakia, a real estate development company, is building a six-story mixed-use building. It will include 1,500 square feet of ground level retail space, two levels of below-grade parking, and 113,700 square feet of residential space. 125 apartments are planned for the building, with 37 different types of units that range from studios to three-bedrooms.
