Silverstein Properties has expanded its “Art on the Avenue” initiative to spotlight a mix of local and international artistry in Bellevue. The exhibition, located at Avenue Bellevue at 850 Avenue Square Northeast, brings together work from 10 local artists and 30 others from across the country and globe. The displays are open to the public until March 31, 2025.

The pop-up galleries, housed in eight street-level storefronts, present a variety of mediums, from abstract paintings and photography to sculpture and street art. These contemporary works have been curated by Silverstein Properties in collaboration with Silver Art Projects, a non-profit based in New York that supports emerging artists.

Larry A. Silverstein, founder and Chairman of Silverstein Properties, emphasized the importance of integrating art into everyday spaces. “Art provides a unique perspective and enhances the environments we inhabit. This initiative allows us to not only showcase incredible talent but also bring a new vibrancy to Avenue Bellevue,” he said.

Silverstein Properties has a history of weaving arts and culture into its projects, from rebuilding the World Trade Center in New York to creating spaces that celebrate creativity. This latest effort in Bellevue continues that tradition by connecting the local community with artistic expression.

Dara McQuillan, Chief Marketing Officer of Silverstein Properties, curated the exhibition alongside Hilary Mix, Parker Calvert, and Clayton Calvert. “This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the rich artistic talent in Bellevue and Seattle while also fostering a sense of community through art,” McQuillan noted.

The “Art on the Avenue” galleries are open five days a week, with options for additional appointments through the project’s website at www.avenue.art. Visitors can see a wide variety of art, including street art, modern photography, and unique sculptures.
