Since opening in September 2024, Itadaki Yakiniku at Bellevue Connection (550 106th Avenue NE) has made several changes to create a more flexible and approachable dining experience. Originally launched as an eight-course set menu restaurant, Itadaki has now switched to a full à la carte menu, giving guests the freedom to choose and combine dishes.

The new format follows a yakiniku-style setup, where guests can select from a variety of Japanese Wagyu, premium meats and seafood, and local vegetables, among other options. In addition to the à la carte menu, Itadaki now offers a custom omakase experience, where diners share their preferences, budget, and appetite, and the kitchen creates a personalized meal.

The restaurant also recently added a lunch menu, expanding its offerings beyond dinner. Lunch items include a Wagyu burger (now $15.95), Warm Quinoa Salad, Salmon and Mentaiko Spaghetti, Chashu Ramen, Beef Tongue Curry, and Gyu-Katsu Rice. A popular option is the beef lunch special, where guests grill their own meats at the table. The $39.95 set includes Beef Tongue Akami, Wagyu Karubi, Short Rib, Wagyu Finger Meat, and vegetables. (At dinner, grilling is done by the staff.)

Looking ahead, Itadaki plans to launch weekend brunch and is waiting on final permits to open its outdoor patio, which will offer cocktails and open-air dining.

The space has been home to other restaurants in the past. Most recently, it was COCO Asian Cuisine Izakaya-Sushi Bar, which operated from 2017 to 2022. Before that, it was Tap House Grill, which closed in 2015 after 13 years in business.

Itadaki blends the style of a traditional Japanese steakhouse with modern, creative cooking.
